How do I charge my users with payments?

Payments are built into Forte and powered by Stripe, but you manage them inside Forte — there's no separate Stripe account to create, no Connect onboarding, and no webhook endpoint to host or secure.

One-off payments

Create a payment for one of your users, then confirm it in the browser with Stripe Elements. Forte handles the PaymentIntent, tax, saved payment methods, and refunds. The Creating Payments guide walks through it end to end with code.

Subscriptions

For recurring revenue, create a subscription — Forte bills on the schedule, handles renewals and failed-payment grace periods, and delivers the events to your services so you can run your own logic when a charge succeeds.

Testing

Use sandbox mode to build and test the whole flow with test cards before you take a real payment. The same code then runs against live payments.
